As a graphic designer at UC San Diego's Jacobs School of Engineering, I focused on enhancing our clients’ digital presences and brand identities. I created website wireframes and high-fidelity mockups to communicate design ideas to stakeholders and developers. My work included designing logos, UI assets, and modernizing color palettes and design systems to strengthen brand identity. Throughout my projects, I maintained close collaboration and communication with stakeholders to ensure that the designs aligned with the client’s brand vision and goals. Below are selected projects I worked on during my time at the company.
The Center for DREAMS is an architectural research and development center dedicated to creating advanced, adaptive materials and structures by integrating innovative simulation tools, novel processing techniques, and multi-physics optimization.
In this project, I was responsible for redesigning the entire DREAMS website to create a more visually engaging experience while retaining the original content. I drew inspiration from other UC San Diego labs and centers to ensure the design aligned with existing branding while maintaining a unique identity for DREAMS. To enhance the site's personality, I incorporated large stock images of UCSD’s campus and students as backgrounds and used prominent headers to give the content beneath room to breathe.
UCSD’s Eating Disorders Center is a leading non-profit, university-based facility dedicated to advancing research, treatment, and education to improve the lives of those affected by eating disorders through evidence-based, affordable care.
For this project, I was tasked with redesigning the center’s homepage while preserving key elements. The client granted me creative freedom to determine what should be retained or removed. I chose to align the design more closely with the official UCSD website, particularly in the navigation bar and footer, to better meet the client’s expectations. I simplified the header by replacing the previous picture carousel with the center's name in a large, clear font, making it immediately apparent to users which site they are on. Additionally, I reorganized the content into distinct sections and introduced a featured article area to enhance readability.
The Frazer Lab is part of the Department of Pediatrics and specializes in Genome Information Sciences focusing on identifying and characterizing functional human genetic variants through iPSC-based genetic studies and association studies in well-characterized cohorts to understand their roles in disease.
For this project, I was responsible for redesigning the entire website, drawing inspiration from other University of California official sites and labs. While retaining all the existing content, I reorganized the page layouts, introduced clear headings, visually engaging backgrounds, and established a stronger visual hierarchy to enhance readability and user experience.

For this project, I was tasked with redesigning the department's homepage, using other UCSD department websites as a branding guide. I maintained the original branding while updating key sections to improve user experience, including the introduction of a staff carousel and a dedicated section for a featured article that the client wanted to highlight.
